Art Exhibition Launch : Kunyi : Truth Telling in Paint

Join the Pilgrim Uniting Church community for the launch of an exhibition of the remarkable art works of Yankunytjatjara artist Kunyi June Anne McInerney who resides in Adelaide.
Through vibrant, deeply personal paintings, Kunyi shares the fear, loss of family and the courage of her childhood in the Oodnadatta Children’s Home.
The launch includes a screening of the moving documentary ‘Three Names, One Woman’, about Kunyi’s extraordinary life – from being taken from her family at four years old, to becoming a midwife, mother, artist, author and truth teller.
The screening of the documentary will be followed by a Q and A session.
There is no cost to attend.
Some of the artist’s works will be on sale, as will copies of her book “Kunyi”.
Kunyi’s art exhibition will be in place in the Pilgrim Uniting Church until Friday 12 December 2025, and can be viewed between 12pm and 2pm, Monday to Friday.
