5. UNITING CHURCH WINDOW
- proceed through the door to the left
Previous Next
Straight ahead is a small stained glass window depicting the Uniting Church logo. It consists of a white cross that symbolises the resurrected Christ, the reborn life that breaks out of the darkness. The white semi-circle indicates the world is far from perfect and we are "a people on the way". It also stands for the U in Uniting. Together they suggest the traditional image of the church as a ship. The central image of the dove represents the Holy Spirit, with wings of flame another symbol of the Spirit of God. Together they represent the gentleness and the power of God.
Turn right and walk to the end of the side aisle.
