This window group is really one picture, depicting the story of the Good Samaritan, told by Jesus in answer to the question, "Who is my neighbour?" The questioner, a teacher of the Law, wanted to limit his response to the Law that said, "Love your neighbour as you love yourself."
Through this story, Jesus calls on everyone to act kindly to everybody, no matter who they are. This call is imperative on all Christians and is the basis for the many social services, schools and hospitals run by Christian churches.
